Krystal Rawls is committed to improving the overall student experience by helping learners understand the relationships between their skills and opportunities for employment, community improvement, and personal growth. The power of self-recognition and the recognition of others is key to her work.
Krystal currently serves as the Workforce Integration Program Development Designer with California State University’s Effectiveness, Planning and Analytics department. Krystal’s accomplishments include co-authoring a $5M federal grant to close the digital divide, launching a public sector aggregator to improve workforce diversity, and developing a culturally relevant workforce development framework.
Krystal holds a Ph.D. in Education from Claremont Graduate University, a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education from the University of the Pacific, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in American Studies and Rhetoric from the University of California Berkeley. In addition to her work with CSU, Krystal is an entrepreneur, author, and consultant. She is a recognized voice in workforce development practices, featured in ‘Growing Fairly: How to build opportunity and equity in workforce development,’ and consults with Women in Technology International on equitable hiring practices in the technology industry.
